Canadian Experience Class

Canadian Experience Class

In accordance with the Canadian Experience Class, those who have worked in Canada and wish to immigrate to Canada permanently with their accompanying dependents may also be eligible.

The Canada Experience Class programme uses applicants who have invested a significant amount of time in pursuing their education and jobs in Canada to highlight the benefits of the country. It identifies candidates’ contributions to Canadian society and the economy. The applications for permanent residency in Canada are strengthened by this.

Canadian Experience Class Requirements

The key requirements are the following, and eligibility for permanent residency under this programme is graded on a pass-fail basis:

  • The candidate has 12 months of full-time work experience in a job with a National Occupation Classification skill type of 0 or skill level A or B. (NOC). The administrative, professional, technical, and skilled craft vocations are those that qualify.
  • The required Canadian work experience was acquired within the 36 months immediately prior to the application date.
  • Candidate exhibits proficiency in at least one of Canada’s official languages. The career in which the candidate obtained the necessary Canadian work experience determines the degree of ability required.
  • Not be barred from entering Canada for security, medical, or criminal reasons.

Qualifying work experience

Full-time, professional work experience is required. Full-time is defined as working 30 hours a week. The easiest way to consider part-time work is on a pro-rata basis. For instance, six months in a professional part-time position working 15 hours per week will count as three months of the minimum twelve. The need for experience can also be satisfied by holding many concurrent part-time jobs.

Any employment conducted in Canada without a valid work permit will no longer be taken into consideration. Periods of self-employment or work experience acquired prior to the candidate enrolling in a full-time study programme will not count either.

Language talent

Minimum proficiency should be shown in each of the four language skills—reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Candidates should possess Canadian Language (CLB) level 7 if their qualifying work experience is in a profession categorised as NOC Skill Type 0 or Skill Level A. Candidates should meet CLB level 5 if their relevant job experience is in a NOC Skill Level B career.

The following test results from the Test d’évaluation de français (TEF) and the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) are equivalent to the necessary level of competency in French or English:

Conclusion

The Canadian Experience Class is the ideal programme for those who have grown accustomed to Canadian habits and wish to relocate here. It is a quick and reliable option for qualifying applicants to get permanent residencies with desired standards. Furthermore, if the applicant has the proper temporary status, the application may be submitted from within Canada. In other words, it permits a seamless change from a temporary to a permanent residency status in Canada.

*Foreigners intending to establish themselves in the Province of Quebec are no longer eligible for the Canadian experience class, although education and work experience acquired there are still valid for meeting Quebec software criteria.
